Congratulations on your Wedding

This card was made for Tracey and Wayne's wedding. They are getting married tomorrow, September 1st. We give you our Congratulations and very best wishes for a wonderful life together.

The card was made following the MFT sketch from a couple of weeks ago #44.
The stamp from Artee Stamps (Australia) was gold embossed then watercolored with markers. I highlighted some of the flowers and heart with twinkling H2Os in a soft green. The small prima flower was also highlighted with the 'twinks' The shimmer of the twinkling H2Os show up really well in this close up.
The cardstock I chose was all bazzill and the designer paper was from 6"x6" pad called 'Romance' by Inque Boutique. Very appropriate don't you think.

Thank You

This Thank You card was made for one of the nicest people I know, My friend Tanya.
The Butterfly stamp is from a retired Stampin Up set called 'Garden Collage' .It is really a nice image to work with especially if you are like me and love to color.
I have stamped the image twice in Black Brilliance and colored in using my Prismacolor Pencils. I only colored the butterfly in the 2nd image, then cut it out . I layered it altogether using Creative Memories Designer Paper. The groovy guava ribbon and 'Thank you' sentiment are both Stampin Up.
I made some antennae out of artistic wire, then put them in place with a blob of silicone on the back of the cut out butterfly, I added a little more silicone the back and then adhered it to the base image.

Until next time,

Ladybug Heaven

Flourishes Tuesday chat challenge was to 'create a scene'. I originally told the girls I wouldn't be participating as I only had 2 sets of Floral stamps. What on earth could I come up with. Well the dare was put to me and it did take me nearly to the cut off time, but here it is. Ladybug Heaven. Once I got going I just couldn't stop.
A lot of masking was involved but it wasn't all that hard, just a little fiddly. I have used: the magnolia text, the single branch, magnolia with branch, single magnolia, single leaf, ladybug and in the bottom left corner there is a grasshopper. All stamps come from the set called Lilacs.
I stamped it all in Basic brown ink on confetti white card, then colored with prismacolor pencils. The cardstock is all Bazzill. The pink base card was stamped with Rose Red ink. I stamped the magnolia with branch twice before re-inking.I repeated this until the base card was covered with magnolia's.
I was so happy with the effect considering when I started I had no idea what I was going to do. I hope you enjoy.
Until next time

Where I live....

Many of you who read my Blog are in the USA, and have asked me about where I live. So yesterday I headed in to the city and took a couple of photos from the lookout.
This is Canberra, The Capital of Australia (very much like Washington DC). It is very different to some of our other major Capital Cities like Sydney and Melbourne. Canberra is very small in comparison. Canberra is also not as busy and congested. I live in an 'outer suburb' and it takes me less than 20 minutes to get to the City Centre.

A little about this photo, the 'red strip' is the centre of a six lane road ANZAC Parade, It has memorials down each side as a tribute to all our Servicemen and women. This Avenue has a lot of meaning to Australians. Directly acoss the lake there is Old Parliament House and just beyonf that our 'New' Parliament House. The lake is called Lake Burley Griffin and is just beautiful, you can see a fountain spurting water high into the air. The City Centre is the group of building on the right hand side, like I said quite small and our buildings have height restrictions (i think 6 or 8 floors).

It is winter at the moment and although you can't see it there is some snow on the mountains. I just love living here, It's such a pretty city. I hope you enjoyed a little insight into my city.

Let's Do Lunch

Every week Cindy comes up with wonderful ideas and then puts out a card sketch challenge for the 'My Favorite Things' Forum on SCS. This is sketch MFTSC44.
The stamp set is "Meet me at the cafe", by My Favorite Things.
This is such a terrific layout, I had so much fun making this card.
First I stamped the image on white cardstock, in Black Brilliance Ink then coloured the table, chairs, wine glasses and the arms and legs of the girls.
After deciding on Inque Boutique's pad of Designer 6"x 6" Paper . I stamped out parts of the image to get the girls some designer clothing (great fabric choices don't you agree) .
I cut out the dress, boots, skirt and top from several different sheets . A little fiddly but certainly not hard to do and i think it was worth it. After cutting out I simply glued the clothing on the main stamped image. I stamped the sentiment in black Brilliance , then cut all the ovals for the sentiment with the nestabilities.Next step was to layer everything together and presto!! I think this is really sweet card.
Other Embellishments I used include Prima flowers, paper lace, pink pearls, a flower brad and the cardstock is all from Stampin Up.
I just love these stamps. I can't wait for my new order to arrive.
Until next time

All Torn Up - Challenge

This weeks 'Ways to use it' challenge on SCS, is All Torn Up, or paper tearing.
Isn't this stamp terrific, perfect for tearing. I just love it. It's called African Collage from 'My Stamps by Cathy Daulman '(a great Aussie stamp company.) I had the pleasure of doing several workshops with Cathy when she came to Canberra a couple of years ago for a Stamp Camp organised by our local stamp group .
Cathy is a truly amazing, talented, creative and very funny lady.
Anyway, back to the card. This image has been stamped on white cardstock with black ink and embossed with clear powder. It was then water coloured using markers and an aqua brush. Although very hard to see, the centre of the medallion has been embellished using an eyelet then enhanced with Diamond Glaze. I have torn around the base and side edge of the stamped image. I then layered it all together on to Bazzill cardstock, tearing the grey layer before adhering to the base card.
For a little more 'oomph' I added the extra small grey panel embedded with 3 eyelets.
This would make a great masculine card.
For more info on My Stamps click on the purple Link above. If you you leave Cathy a message, tell her I sent you.

Colonial Fall

Down Under in Australia we are coming up to our Spring and we don't celebrate Halloween here, but with Fall fast approaching in the Northern Hemisphere, and Halloween right on it's heels everyone is making Halloween Cards.
So, I too have decided to get into the 'spirit' of things and make a card. I truly do love the concept of Halloween and with all the great stamps out there, how can one resist.
This stamp is from Impression Obsession and really lends itself to coloring in, I stamped the image using Stampin Up's Basic Brown and have colored in using Prismacolor Pencils blended with Gamsol.
Take a little look at the Jack 'o Lantern brad in the bottom left hand corner. I purchased a set of Halloween Brads when I was in California eight (yes! I said 8 ) years ago, because you just never know when it will come in handy. This is the first one I have used. LOL. I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.

Until Next Time,

Flourishes Challenge #14

Hello.

I have very exciting news. I have the honor of being the Flourishes featured stamper #13. Number 13, unlucky for some definitely lucky for me. For more details look here in Flourishes Blog .

Today I have featured another stamp from Flourishes, this is from the set called Poppy Patch . It is a 'mix and match' set of flowers, buds, leaves and words.
What I love about this set is, it's just so versatile. Every time I stamp it it looks completely different, I have never managed to do the same thing twice. To look at more samples of this set take a look at my Splitcoast Gallery .

If the Shoe fits...

If the shoe fits... Stamp it.
I just love this stamp it is one of my favorites, It is such a girly stamp that you can use for lots of occasions. It is an Alesa Baker Design from Impression Obsession.

I first chose my Designer Papers, This is a range of double sided papers called the 'Sugarplum Series' by Collage Press. The biggest decision was , which side do I use, (you can see more of these papers on this card Pretty in Pink ). Once decided I chose Bazzill smoothies card stock to match and the lime green textured card for the base.
I then colored in the shoe using Prismacolor Pencils to match the colors in the DP and cardstock. All in all this was a very simple card to do.

Three Step Tulips

This is my card for this weeks card sketch challenge, It was made using the Terrific Tulips set from Stampin Up. It is one of those 2 - step - stamping sets.
I have never been one for solid image stamps as I just love to color, but I do like Tulips and this is why I caved in and bought this one. HOWEVER as you can see I went one step further than the 2 step stamping method.
I call it my three step technique, (not very original but all my creativity goes into my cards and not my words).
I have stamped this in the normal way, using Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Sage Shadow. I simply colored in on top of the ink and blended with my Prismacolor Pencils to add more depth. I then stamped the script back ground in PinP

This was a quick card to make as the sketch challenge this week was a simple one. I am very pleased with the results and no doubt will be using this technique again.

Until next time

WELCOME EVERYONE

Hi Everyone, welcome to my BLOG.
My name is Michelle Nadudvary and I'm an addict. A stamping addict that is. I doubt that I am any different from all you other stamper's who suffer this infliction.
I Live Downunder in Australia's Capital city, Canberra: you may find my spelling odd. I have not made mistakes, it's just in Australia we do spell words differently.

I hope to share my creations with you,and I hope you enjoy what you see. Some days I am quite creative other days are just a disaster in the craft room. If I come across some handy tips or tricks I endeavour to share them with you.

My stamping style varies from card to card, but my passion for colouring in is always consistent. I love all types of stamps, from cute to Arty, I have tendency to buy way to many Floral stamps, and I'm always on the hunt for new colouring supplies. I love to use Prismacolor pencils, watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2O's.

I made this card today to celebrate the Birth of my Blog. It is a Hero Arts Stamp.
I have embossed the image in gold sparkly embossing powder and coloured with Twinkling H2O's. I used my Spellbinder nestabilities to do the ovals. I then cut out the image and mounted it on foam tape to give it some height.
