Yes I do know it's only June but I decided for this week's Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge I would make a start on my Christmas cards.

This weeks sketch could see the following prize sent out to you, so be sure to get your entry in!
-A jar of 6mm Rose Sprinkles
-1mtr 16mm Double Faced Hot Pink Satin Ribbon
-1mtr 9mm Hot Pink Floral Ribbon
Be sure to include some bling on your project - bottom right corner - and any stamps or bling you have on hand
make sure you link your card up at the Annabelle Stamps Blog Challenge post
Now for my card, I decided to turn the layout sideways into a horizontal format

I have chosen my favourite Christmas set of all time, this is the most versatile set I have seen It is called Holly Branch (not true size)

I have stamped and embossed all images in Gold and watercoloured using Twinkling H2Os, I embellished using Chilli coloured Sprinkles and the luscious Red Satin Ribbon all available from Annabelle Stamps

Say it with .... flowers

First I must apologise to my WONDERFUL DT members at Annabelle Stamps, This week was my turn to host the challenge and due to my circumstances at the moment I couldn't do it. So a BIG thanks for taking up the slack.
I'd also like to say welcome to Sue as she is now one of the DT.
This weeks theme over on the Annabelle Stamps Blog  is 'say it with...flowers'. Here is a card I have made previously but since I have so many new followers I thought I would showcase it again. I have used stamps from 'Mum's Flowers'
First the images were stamped and embossed with a beautiful black sparkly powder, this time I opted to colour with the Twinkling H2Os. (I wish you could see the shimmer of these gorgeous paints as they truly are gorgeous). The decorative paper is nice, bright and cheery, It's from Junkitz.
The plain cardstock is from SU.
I wanted the colouring to be the main feature of this card so I kept embellishments to a minimum, just 3 orange brads. This card was very quick and easy to make 20 minutes or less.

Annabelle Sketch and Bling Challenge #9

Friday has rolled around and it is now time for another Annabelle Stamps Sketch and Bling Challenge (SCS keyword ABSC009)

Another nice easy one  for you.
For my card this week I have coloured using Twinkling H2Os as they are now available from Annabelle Stamps

Twinkling H2Os are little pots of shimmering watercolour. They are just to die for and of course I own every single colour. Unfortunately the shimmer doesn't show up so well in the photo. To embellish this card I have used the fabulous sprinkles in Blossom (wait until you see the new colours and sizes WOW you will want them all, they being released 15/01/10)

To get the best of your Twinkling H2O's it is best to emboss your image first.

The Annabelle Design Team Girls have out done themselves this week with the sketch so don't foget to checkout what the have been up to. Links to their Blogs are on the sidebar.
Next Friday is the day for Annabelle Stamps new 2010 release  so don't forget to pop back and check it out but for now let me give you a sneak peek

Joy to the World...Annabelle Stamps NEW RELEASE

Welcome to Annabelle Stamps Christmas Release.
There are 3 brand new stamps sets and new mini sprinkles (bling) in 5 different Christmas colours. Each pack of mini sprinkles contains 3 sizes.

Here is my first card using the new Christmas stamps, this is from the "I must have" set called 'Holly Branch'. There are 10 gorgeous mix n' match stamps in this set. It is my new favourite set at the moment

Now for the card details. I have used 4 separate stamps. All are stamped in Black Brilliance Ink and embossed with a clear sparkly powder. I have coloured the holly with twinkling H2Os, they have a lovely shimmer which unfortunately is not visible in this photo. There is also some red bling on the holly berries.
The base card is a very deep bottle green followed by a white layer then the red bazzill. I have stamped and embossed another of the holly images in the top left corner. I have added a black scalloped border across the middle with a decorative green and white gingham ribbon. The plain and scalloped ovals were made with the classic oval nestabilities.
This is a nice and quick Christmas card to make, took about 10 minutes at the most, even faster if you get a production line going.

Would you like to see these complete sets, then click here
Also don't forget to check out what the other DT members are doing with their Christmas Stamps. You will find their links on the right side bar under Annabelle Stamps Design Team.

Bright and beautiful Bugs

I like this Annabelle Stamps set so much I decided to use it again this week. On my last Annabelle post I showed you the stamp set, (click HERE if you would like to see it again). Today I have used 3 different stamps from this set, they are the grass, the snail and the butterfly. The sentiment comes from the 'I can fly' set
I stamped and embossed all images and watercoloured using my Twinkling H2Os.
The designer papers I used are from Scenic Route Paper Inc abd the green is from SU. The sentiment and it's layers were all cut using nestabilities. The distressed edge was done with my Heidi Swapp distresser.
This was a very easy card to do, not a lot of colour blending but I couldn't help myself and I had to do just a little. A nice bright cheery card to make a friend smile.

Going Green...recycling that is

This weeks High Hopes Challenge #48 is all about recycling. I have used Elmer the Elephant for this card. I think he looks great in any colour.
Elmer has been stamped and then embossed with Black Brilliance Ink and clear powder. I have chosen to colour him with Twinkling H2O's. It's a shame the shimmer of these paints doesn't show.
He was then cut out and mounted on a 'SU chocolate chip' oval cut out using the nestabilities. The designer papers this week are from Scenic Route Paper Inc.
My recycled embellishment is actually the ring pull from a soft drink can, as you can see I made it into a buckle to thread the ribbon through.
I am having so much fun using my High Hopes Stamps. They are fabulous to colour.

I have watercoloured this gorgeous Elephant using Twinkling H2Os, cut him out and layered my card using Bazzill cardstock and designer paper from Sandylion. The gold card was leftover from years ago.
Here is a close up of the all small details. I just love the shimmer of the Twinkling H2Os

Butterfly Christening

When my friend Maria asked me to make a Christening card for her Grand daughter using butterflies I wasn't sure what I was going to do.
After thinking it over for a couple of weeks. Here is the finished card.
I stamped the butterfly (by Stampendous) all over white cardstock using Memories Angelic Pink Chalk Ink. I also stamped one in gold ink and embossed with Egyptian Gold sparkly embossing powder. Using they same ink and powder I did the sentiment (PSX).
Next I cut out the sentiment using the petite oval nestabilities, and cut out the butterfly with an x-acto knife
I painted the butterfly with Twinkling H2O's in 2 shades of pink. Then added some antennae made from artistic wire.
I layered it altogether using Bazzill cardstock, some pink ribbon and finally embellished with some pearls and a floral swirl cut from a Spellbinder die.
I think my friend will be very pleased.
This is my last post for several weeks as I am off on vacation to the United States. Talk to you all when I get back

I love this Daffodil

I know I only featured this daffodil image 2 posts ago, but look how different it looks this time. This is fast becoming a favourite stamp because it is so versatile.
Twinkling H2O's is what colouring medium I chose this time, It is so bright and cheery. It is a shame the shimmer doesn't show on this photo as it really is quite spectacular. This card was created for this weeks Timeless Tuesday Challenge over on the Flourishes Blog. This week it was a sketch challenge. (mine is turned sideways).
Flourishes is releasing this month's new stamps in less than 24 hours and I can't wait to see what's in store. I just love the images created by Marcella Hawley, she truly is a gifted artist her flower designs are truly spectacular.
I just wish I had a never ending supply of cash to buy them all.
Don't forget there is just one store in Australia stocking Flourishes stamps
Heavenscent Crafts, Just tell Deb that Michelle sent you.

Timeless Tuesday Challenge

Flourishes has just had their new release party and I'm all inspired. Although this is not one of their new sets, it is truly one of my faves. This set is Poppies and is a mix and match set of stamps. I have just created this card for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #3. This week we simply had to use flowers. This card has been created using Coral cardstock and designer paper by Adornit. The image has been stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured using Lyra watercolour crayons. The ovals were cut from Nestabilities petite ovals.
Just to whet your appetite a little further here is another card I have made with this set. (See what I mean about mix and match.) This time the poppies are gold embossed and coloured with Twinkling H2Os

Peg Leg Pete

Hi everyone. Here is my card for this weeks High Hopes Challenge. I made this card before I started reading 'Eclipse' the 3rd book in the Twilight series. I knew if I started reading, this card would not get made for a couple more days. Hope you like it.
This weeks challenge is to 'create a card for a dude', no flowers allowed.
I chose High Hopes 'Peg Leg Pete' (isn't he just adorable) and Polly .
The images were stamped in Black colorbox ink and embossed with black powder. They are coloured with Lyra watercolor crayons and highlighted with Twinkling H2O's.
The designer paper ( by Sandylion) sets off the whole Pirate image making it a very much a boys card, I embellished the card with eyelets and some
I-Kan-Dee twine.
Lyra watercolour crayons and High Hopes Rubber Stamps can be found in Australia at Heavenscent Crafts.

WELCOME EVERYONE

Hi Everyone, welcome to my BLOG.
My name is Michelle Nadudvary and I'm an addict. A stamping addict that is. I doubt that I am any different from all you other stamper's who suffer this infliction.
I Live Downunder in Australia's Capital city, Canberra: you may find my spelling odd. I have not made mistakes, it's just in Australia we do spell words differently.

I hope to share my creations with you,and I hope you enjoy what you see. Some days I am quite creative other days are just a disaster in the craft room. If I come across some handy tips or tricks I endeavour to share them with you.

My stamping style varies from card to card, but my passion for colouring in is always consistent. I love all types of stamps, from cute to Arty, I have tendency to buy way to many Floral stamps, and I'm always on the hunt for new colouring supplies. I love to use Prismacolor pencils, watercolour pencils and Twinkling H2O's.

I made this card today to celebrate the Birth of my Blog. It is a Hero Arts Stamp.
I have embossed the image in gold sparkly embossing powder and coloured with Twinkling H2O's. I used my Spellbinder nestabilities to do the ovals. I then cut out the image and mounted it on foam tape to give it some height.
