Squigglefly Blog Challenge #51

Wow 51 challenges already, unbelievable. This week's Squigglefly Blog Challenge is set by the fabulous Kim and we have to make a 'joy fold' card.
I just had to use the new release 'Columbine' flower again..... 2 posts in a row,  I couldn't help myself. I just love it.
Here is my card

Most of you have probably seen this style of card before and never known what it was called. ( I know I didn't)
The instructions can be found HERE at Splitcoast Stampers
I have created my card using plain white cardstock, 2 shades of Pink Bazzill, and speciality paper by Imaginisce. On the small strip of dark pink I punched the edge with the 'Iron Gate' border punch by Martha Stewart
I printed out the flower, It is a digi image from Squigglefly.
The sentiment is one that I created. I then cut out the 2 circles with the nestabilities
I then coloured using my Prismacolor Pencils blended with odourless mineral spirits.
Once coloured I inked around the edge of the white card  with pink chalk ink and adhered it altogether following the tutorial.
If you like this columbine flower and today's card and my previous card inspire you, you will find the image HERE

SQUIGGLEFLY's New Releases are here

What do you think of this card? This image is from Squigglefly's New Releases out today.
This image is called Columbine and is by Artist Lynne Stansbery.
There are so many fabulous images in this release you'll want them all.
Today's card is made using SU cardstock in Wild Wasabi. The designer paper is from Papermania.
I printed out the columbine flower in a couple of different sizes before settling on this one. I manipulate all my images through Powerpoint, it is really easy.
I coloured using my favourite Prismacolor Pencils blended with odourless mineral spirits.
"Just for you" sentiment is one I created .
All shapes were cut using nestabilities. I added the paper flowers and ribbon and then using foam mounting tape adhered my flower image. The foam tape gives a little bit of height so it sits nicely over the paper flower and ribbon.

Say it with.....Ribbon

Annabelle Stamps Blog challenge this week is say it with ...Ribbon.

To make this weeks card I used the Happy birthday sentiment from the set 'Helen's Party'.
One lucky person will win that set as it was last weeks challenge prize. So I sure hope you entered your card in the challenge.
If you look really close ( I know, it's very hard to see. Actually if you can see it at all I'll be flat out amazed)  the orange designer paper has been stamped with one of the stamps from the 'Flourishes' bling set. I used creamy brown chalk ink. It's nice and subtle in real life.
These 'build-a-bling stamps make really great backgrounds. It's good to get more than one use from your stamps. It makes better value for your money.
The rest of the card was easy I used some brown and white striped paper, brown bazzill cardstock, and all the embellishments come from the Annabelle Stamps 'White Petals Kit' .  The single brown flower comes from the brown Petal Kit.
What you see above is what you get. Oh so YUMMY!!!
The Petal Kits contains Mulberry Flowers in 3 different sizes (these flowers are the best quality I have ever used and believe me I use lots of flowers. Flowers also available separately), 3 different types of ribbon in 1 metre spools and the most gorgeous mix of gems and pearls. There are 3 different kits and trust me when I say you'll need one of each
Don't forget to check out what the other Designer Team members are up to. The girls BLOG links are in the sidebar on your right under 'Annabelle Stamps' Design Team Logo

Squigglefly's New Releases OUT NOW 15th May

Squigglefly's new May releases are out now and there are some fabulous images, I WANT lots of them. Click HERE and see whats new.

I made todays card using this cutie called Katy Bug and she is by artist Jackie Matthews.
I have printed Katy Bug out on white cardstock and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils.
My base card is Petunia Bazzill and the green is Wild Wasabi from Stampin UP. The designer papers are from Paper Mania and this is a 6" pad called Rose Garden. It is full of co-ordinating prints.
The punched scallop border is done using a punch from the Martha Stewart range. Last but not least is a small piece of pink Vintage Lace, very girly girly don't you think.
Thanks for Looking. I'll be back more often so don't forget to pop back soon.

Welcome Back to ME

HELLO everyone!
I am out of Hospital now after a very long 6 weeks and have been putting together some cards. I coloured a lot of images whilst I was there and now I look forward to showcasing them with you in my blog.
Firstly this one, I love this flower it is part of a set of 6 called Fancy Flowers, it is available from Squigglefly and is by Artist Nina Brackett.
I have printed it onto 'Confetti white' cardstock by Stampin Up and coloured using Prismacolor Pencils blended with odourless mineral spirits. The Happy Birthday Sentiment is just one I created on the the computer.
I have cut the ovals out using nestabilities and did an embossed border(on choc chip cardstock) both these went through my cuttlebug machine.
I tell you what if I could of taken something to the hospital besides my pencils it would of been my cuttlebug, OMG I missed using it.
Now that I am out of Hospital don't forget to pop back regularly as I will have more cards and some blog challenges to share with you.
PLUS Coming up on the 15th May will be a Squigglefly new release so you will need to be HERE to see what's in store. It is all very exciting, I can't tell you how much I missed not having a computer to keep in touch with what's new
