Jasmine's Garden

Today's card is from another great set by Annabelle Stamps, This one is called Jasmine's garden. She is named Jasmine after the artist who created her.
The photo has not came out the best, the colours are a lot more vibrant and the ribbon is an identical match to the cardstock.
To make this card I first stamped Jasmine in Black Brilliance and then coloured with Prismacolor Pencils. Petite oval nestabilities is what I used to cut out the main image and the co ordinating layers. The card stock I used is all Bazzill except for the white.. The top layer (Velvet) Bazzill was ran through the cuttlebug with the scalloped border on both sides.

Who likes Popcorn?

Popcorn the Bear that is.
Isn't he just adorable. This is one of the cutest, most gorgeous teddy bear stamps I have ever seen. He comes in several different sets all of which you will want to own.
This is the birthday hugs set, but I think not only does it make a great birthday card but what do you think about a baby card? I think it would be fabulous.
The good news is for all my local stampers in Canberra, Popcorn is coming to town at the end of October, so start saving your pennies. I will show you another Popcorn the Bear creation in the coming weeks so keep "Popping" back.

Freebie Friday over at Andrea's

Over on Andrea's Blog 'Andrea's Stampin Moments' it's Freebie Friday and up for grabs is some of those gorgeous sprinkles that I love sooo much.

Has everyone seen the new Sprinkles at AnnaBelle Stamps? Andrea is offering the three mixes of Sprinkles this weekend! Each container has approximately 180 6mm drops of transparent colour, and on top of that you can screw the containers together to save on some space, how great is that? There is a total of 24 colours so far in this collection, but you never know when that might grow..

How Sweet she is

This is Jasmine and the stamp is called Party Cupcake. The image is from that great new Australian company called Annabelle Stamps. Party Cupcake is a single unmounted acrylic stamp. I just love her, I think she is gorgeous. The happy birthday sentiment is from the Swirl Tree set. I am really enjoying being on the Design Team for Annabelle Stamps. The stamps are very easy to work and a lots of fun.
How did I do this card you ask. First Jasmine was stamped in Black Brilliance (i find this is my favourite ink to use on acrylic stamps. Make sure your inkpad is regularly topped up with ink, refills are available at all good stamping suppliers).
Next I chose my papers. Bazzill for the base card and the designer papers from the Basic Grey Bittersweet Pad. I then used my prismacolor pencils to colour matching the papers and card.
I then cuttlebugged the pale pink piece of paper with the swiss dots embossing folder and as a final embellishment I chose the burgundy satin swirl (self adhesive, ribbon? I'm not sure what else to call it.) This ribbon was picked up for me by my dear friend Wendy at one of the many craft shows she attends. Wendy saw it and thought I might just need some one day. Well Viola! Here it is. Finishes the card off nicely don't you think?

Introducing Willow

Here is an image (2 actually) from a gorgeous line of stamps called Whiff of Joy. This is 'Willow with Hot Chocolate' and to complete the scene I added 'fall grass'.
I stamped in Black Stazon as the stamps are red rubber. I stamped Willow first then masked her. I then stamped the grass. I coloured using my Prismacolor Pencils and blended with odourless mineral spirits. The little daisies at the front were coloured with my white gel pen.
The base card is SU's purely pomegranate, the dusty pink and green are both Bazzill. The designer paper is We R memory keepers. Last but not least I embellished the card and some of the flowers with golden yellow pearls. I think she turned out beautifully.

Annabelle Stamps

Welcome to my first card for Annabelle Stamps.
As mentioned in a previous post I have joined the Annabelle Stamps Design Team. This is a brand new Australian Stamp Company only available since Tuesday. The first stamp set I want to showcase is called
'I can fly'. Isn't she just the most adorable little girl you have ever seen.
I love this set because it has lots of mix n' match images. Now for my card.

I stamped the little girl and then repeatedly stamped the flowers in Black Brilliance (my preferred ink). I then coloured them using my Prismacolor Pencils. The colours I chose were inspired by the Designer Paper by Basic Grey. The yellow cardstock is core-dinations and the teal card and ribbon is Blue Bayou from Stampin Up. I embellished the card with the new Sprinkles in Blossom. These sprinkles are a must have and for $3.90 for 100 you will want every colour. I know I do.
I hope you all like this new stamp company as much as I do.

Bountiful Bananas

Anything but a card. That's what this weeks High Hopes challenge is all about.
I thought I'd make a party favor box and fill it with banana lollies and banana flavoured jelly belly jelly beans. (YUM). It's very rare for me to do some construction, but all in all I was pretty pleased with.

I chose to use Bright Yellow Bazzill criss cross cardstock, it is such a fun and cheery colour. The stamps I used were small monkey mike and go bananas, can you guess what I coloured with? Yes I used my prismacolor pencils I finished the box off using a bright yellow organza ribbon and a 2mm brown grosgrain ribbon.

Perfect Peony

Flourishes is releasing the next lot of stamps in only a few days time and are having a sketch challenge. I thought I would give it a go. You never know I might actually win a prize. ROFL (roll on floor laughing). That would be nice. I've never actually won any thing before. I am hoping persistence pays off. Here is the sketch.
I just love Flourishes stamps as most of you know. They are such a joy for me to colour. I can't wait to see what comes next. I hope there is more flowers. I love their floral images.
My card was made using the main image from the Peony set. At first I wasn't sure what I thought of this particular flower but it surprised me and has coloured up nicely. It works perfectly with the sketch.
Here is what I did.
First I stamped using Brilliance Black Ink and allowed it to dry. It had to dry fully as a lot of the colouring was directly on the stamped areas. I have coloured with my Prismacolor pencils but have not done a lot blending due to a lot of shading already on the image.
The designer papers I chose are from Scenic Route Paper Co.

Midnight Madness

I've decided to join a new card challenge on line, it's called Priscillastyles Midnight Madness sketch challenge,Thanks to Linda who recommended it to me. Here is my first entry. it is for MMSC17

The stamp I chose for this particular card is from Penny Black and I think it so dog gone cute. (I'm sorry I couldn't resist). I have stamped the image in Black Brilliance and coloured with my Prismacolor pencils. The cardstock I have used is all Bazzill (except for the white). The paw print stamp is a very old Hero Arts stamp from maybe 8 - 10 years ago. Yes! I still do use my old stamps. We should all go back and use our old stamps ; with all the new embellishments, pretty papers and cardstocks out there now your old stamp can have a very new look.

Here is another old Penny Black stamp I have also recently used.
