Joy to the World...Annabelle Stamps NEW RELEASE

Welcome to Annabelle Stamps Christmas Release.
There are 3 brand new stamps sets and new mini sprinkles (bling) in 5 different Christmas colours. Each pack of mini sprinkles contains 3 sizes.

Here is my first card using the new Christmas stamps, this is from the "I must have" set called 'Holly Branch'. There are 10 gorgeous mix n' match stamps in this set. It is my new favourite set at the moment

Now for the card details. I have used 4 separate stamps. All are stamped in Black Brilliance Ink and embossed with a clear sparkly powder. I have coloured the holly with twinkling H2Os, they have a lovely shimmer which unfortunately is not visible in this photo. There is also some red bling on the holly berries.
The base card is a very deep bottle green followed by a white layer then the red bazzill. I have stamped and embossed another of the holly images in the top left corner. I have added a black scalloped border across the middle with a decorative green and white gingham ribbon. The plain and scalloped ovals were made with the classic oval nestabilities.
This is a nice and quick Christmas card to make, took about 10 minutes at the most, even faster if you get a production line going.

Flourishes Sweet Peas

It's been a while since I've participated in the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge.
This week I have been playing a lot with this Sweet Pea set and thought "why not do it". I've coloured it with pencils, watercolour crayons and this card which is done with Twinkling H2Os. I incorparated this weeks theme which is adding a border to your card.
First I stamped  the flowers on white cardstock with Black Brilliance and embossed with clear powder.
I coloured in with several different shades of Twinkling H2Os to get more dimension in my flowers. I cut out my image using the nestabilities Labels #8.
The green cardstock has sweet pea stamped over the top half of the card with versamark ink.  I also stamped Sweet Pea in black on a scrap of white cardstock and cut out using the petite ovals.
The amethyst panel was cuttlebugged with swiss dots and then the border was punched.
The card was embellished with matching green grosgrain ribbon and mauve rhinestones.

Halloween Lillith

Halloween is almost here and although we don't celebrate it here in Australia, this card is for all my readers overseas. I just love making Halloween cards and I thought this stamp was just perfect.
This is Lillith and she is a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp. Stampin Stuff in Australia sell these adorable rubber stamps, they are from the Moonlight Whispers range.
Lillith is stamped on white cardstock in Black Stazon, I then coloured her with prismacolor pencils blended with OMS. The Halloween sentiment is from Inkadinkado, also stamped in stazon. I used the nestabilities 'Labels 8' for my die cut shape. The designer papers are from Paper Pizazz and the ribbon is black grosgrain with orange stitching. The bat brad is one I picked up in the USA  8 years ago, because you just never know when you might need it. LOL

Simply make a card, enter and you could be the lucky prize winner.  Winners are chosen at random. Click HERE  to go the HH blog.
My card is using 2 stamps, the really cute 'Emeleigh's Ride' and the sentiment  'Road trip'
I have stamped the image on white cardstock and coloured with Prismacolor pencils. The plain  green and orange coloured card is from Bazzill, the pink is purely pomegrante from SU and the designer paper is from Scribble Scrabble. This is doubled sided and I have simply utilsed both sides. The smaller green layer as been cuttlebugged with a floral border. Classic and Petite oval nestabilities were both used to cut the feature image and sentiment.

Spooky Swirl Tree

Hello to you all.
Today I am showcasing another set from Annabelle Stamps. This is the Swirl Tree .

I love this set as it has some very practical sentiments that can be used with all the other sets plus whatever other stamps you have at home. There are a  couple of co-ordinating swirls/ flourishes, as well as the Tree itself . What a great image this one is.  there is also some ornamental 'accesories' to go to with the tree. As you can see there are some hearts, Christmas ornaments, presents and a few more different things. I'll be showing some more ways to use this tree over the coming weeks.

Now for my card
I thought I would try something a little different for our lovely tree. I decided to go for the Spooky Halloween look.
I know we don't celebrate Halloween here in Australia but I know many of my readers do. So Girls, this one is for you.
For this card, I stamped and embossed in Black Colorbox ink and black powder.  I then made a template for my moon out of a bit of scrap cardstock, I punched a hole in the middle, removed the circle and sponged the inside where the circle used to be. Simple. The moon colour was Colorbox Parchment ink
Next I coloured the tree in grey and black Lyra watercolour crayons. I added a little bit of brown around the base. With the black inkpad I sponged the outside of the stamped rectangle. You can see it better in the close up. You can also see the bat brad I chose to embellish the card.Next I layer it on to purple cardstock.

The last part was putting it all together. The base card is an orange square, then the allover Halloween Text Designer Paper.. I added some Halloween ribbon I bought in Wal-Mart (while I was visiting Las Vegas). Last but not least the Swirl tree layer.

Don't forget to check out what the other Design Team members are up to. You will find links to their blogs on the right side bar.
All Stamps used today are from Annabelle Stamps

High Hopes Challenge #49

WOW!!! What a fabulous weekend I have just had. A Stamp Camp weekend which started on Friday evening and finished a little while ago on a glorious late Sunday afternoon.
I was surrounded by I think 28 like minded ladies who are addicted to stamping. We made cards, we chatted, we ate, we drank, we were merry, did I mention we ate. OMG the food. I think I will skip food for thew next couple of days. I feel like a glutton.
As for the card making I did a few of the organised designs but predominantly I worked with my  High Hopes Stamps,
Here is my card for Challenge #49 over on the High Hopes Blog. The theme this week ... Non Traditional Coloured Christmas Cards.

I chose  Tree Pane Santa. I stamped on white linen textured card stock in Black Stazon and coloured with my Prismacolor pencils. The pinks and blues I chose were picked up from the words on the Christmas Designer Paper. The cream shading was a colour also picked out of the DP. The stamped Santas  have been highlighted with Frosted lace Stickles. The embellishments  were the pale blue ribbon, a silver bells charm and 3 circles punched from the pale blue cardstock. I then finished the card by adding co-ordinating pink brads to the centre of the circles for something just a little bit different.

Bright and beautiful Bugs

I like this Annabelle Stamps set so much I decided to use it again this week. On my last Annabelle post I showed you the stamp set, (click HERE if you would like to see it again). Today I have used 3 different stamps from this set, they are the grass, the snail and the butterfly. The sentiment comes from the 'I can fly' set
I stamped and embossed all images and watercoloured using my Twinkling H2Os.
The designer papers I used are from Scenic Route Paper Inc abd the green is from SU. The sentiment and it's layers were all cut using nestabilities. The distressed edge was done with my Heidi Swapp distresser.
This was a very easy card to do, not a lot of colour blending but I couldn't help myself and I had to do just a little. A nice bright cheery card to make a friend smile.

Introducing Lilith

Kraftin' Kimmie has gone off on her own adventure and started a fabulous new stamp company called what else but Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This here is Lilith and she is one of 4 from the Moonlight Whispers range.
I have stamped Lilith in Black stazon ink and coloured her with my all time favourites Prismacolor pencils.
The base card is white with with red layers of bazzill cardstock. The Designer Papers are from Kaisercraft. I finished the card off with some paper flowers in grey and black with little red rhinestones in the middle.
I hope you like what I have done.
Kraftin Kimmie Stamps are available in Australia from Stampin Stuff. I am very pleased to say I am the Stampin Stuff Design Team along with the fabulous owner Amy and another very talented lady called Vicki.

Going Green...recycling that is

This weeks High Hopes Challenge #48 is all about recycling. I have used Elmer the Elephant for this card. I think he looks great in any colour.
Elmer has been stamped and then embossed with Black Brilliance Ink and clear powder. I have chosen to colour him with Twinkling H2O's. It's a shame the shimmer of these paints doesn't show.
He was then cut out and mounted on a 'SU chocolate chip' oval cut out using the nestabilities. The designer papers this week are from Scenic Route Paper Inc.
My recycled embellishment is actually the ring pull from a soft drink can, as you can see I made it into a buckle to thread the ribbon through.
I am having so much fun using my High Hopes Stamps. They are fabulous to colour.

Mum's Garden

Hello everyone, Today I am showcasing another great set from Annabelle Stamps. This is one of the most versatile sets I have seen and it is a dream to colour in. It's called Mum's Garden. Now for my card.
I have stamped and embossed with sparkly powder, 3 separate images. (There are 12 in this set, making it great value for money.) I have coloured today using my Twinkling H2Os. 'Twinks' are fabulous watercolour paints that shimmer. The more paint you use the stronger the shimmer becomes. For more information on how to use these gorgeous paints click HERE.
It is a shame that the photo doesn't show the shimmer very well but in real life it looks fantastic.
Once coloured and left to dry the card was then put together with co-ordinating designer papers from Junkitz. 3 brads were used as embellishments and all put together on a cheery orange card.

My 1st High Hopes Design Team card

Here is my first card as a Guest Diva on the High Hopes Design Team. This card was made for this week's High Hopes Blog Challenge #47... Lots of Layers.

For me this is a really significant leap in the card making arena. As most of you know I am absolutely in love with this range of stamps as they are such a joy to work with. I have so many ideas running through my head at the moment all of which involve colouring of course.

Today's card features the stamp Crystal Snowlady. She has been stamped in Black Stazon on watercolour paper. I have coloured her in using a combination of watercolour pencils and crayons.

The card is from Bazzill, while the designer papers are from Imaginesce. In all I have used 6 layers, the smaller red piece has dots that are too small to see.

For the finishing touches I used glittery snowflake buttons on top of the 'snowflake flowers' and added 2 swirls made with the 'wave swirl' punch.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my first 'official' card.

Baby Elephant

Today I have made a baby card made using one of Magnolia Stamps's relatively new animal stamps. As you can see this is the Elephant, my other favourite is the Lion.
The elephant was stamped and embossed using Brilliance black ink and polysparkle (clear powder with glitter) embossing powder. Today I chose to watercolour using my Lyra crayons.
I then proceeded to cut him out and layer onto the purple oval then the green scalloped oval (both card colours from Stampin Up). I then layered using designer papers from a DCVW (boy) Nursery 12"x12" Paper Pad.
To finish off I added a few kaisercraft and prima flowers with rhinestones in the centre.
The Magnolia stamps are available in Australia at Heavenscent Crafts.
Don't forget to all my local Canberra stamping girls, Heavenscent Crafts is coming to town and it's now only 3 weeks away.
Everyone is welcome to the sale on
