Cards for Men

With Father's Day fast approaching I thought I would take the opportunity to showcase a couple of men's cards I have done this week. Both cards are using stamps from Stampin Up and Inkadinkado.
This first card is using the yacht from 'Set Sail'. The image has been stamped in Brilliance Black and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with odourless mineral spirits (OMS). I have used plain white card, Bazzill and designer paper from Making Memories. The anchor charm just finished it off nicely.

The gorgeous puppy is from the 'For Father' set, it is such a joy to colour. Once again the image is stamped in Brilliance Black and Prismacolor pencils were used once again. I am unsure where the designer paper came from but the base card is SU's basic grey and the olive is from Bazzill. This time I embellished using a corner punch and simple eyelets. I hope you like these Male cards, I know a lot of people struggle making cards for the men in their life the key is keep it simple, I find striped paper quite masculine and works a treat. With so many great papers out there finding some for your male cards will be easy.

Chat Challenge Card

Here is one of my favourite Flourishes Stamps, this one is called Siberian Iris. I have made this card for the Rubber Stamp Chat Challenge
I have stamped it onto Cream coloured cardstock using Smoky Grey Versafine Inkpad. The The coral, pink and green colours I have chosen to use come from the Designer paper by Stampin Up.
I always choose my DP before colouring in, that way I get a perfect match every time. However the perfect match doesn't always show up in the photos. Looks better in real life

Thank You

This Thank You card was made for one of the nicest people I know, My friend Tanya.
The Butterfly stamp is from a retired Stampin Up set called 'Garden Collage' .It is really a nice image to work with especially if you are like me and love to color.
I have stamped the image twice in Black Brilliance and colored in using my Prismacolor Pencils. I only colored the butterfly in the 2nd image, then cut it out . I layered it altogether using Creative Memories Designer Paper. The groovy guava ribbon and 'Thank you' sentiment are both Stampin Up.
I made some antennae out of artistic wire, then put them in place with a blob of silicone on the back of the cut out butterfly, I added a little more silicone the back and then adhered it to the base image.

Until next time,
