Oldies but Goodies Thursday

It's 'oldies but goodies' Thursday over on Bugaboo's 'Catch the Bug Challenge'Blog.
Now as for me I'm very new to the Bugaboo range so none of these are oldies to me, I love 'em all so that makes them goodies.
Here is my card  for the challenge she is simply 'girl turtle'

I have coloured her with Prismacolor pencils.
Before colouring I chose the Bella Rose designer paper from Stampin Up and it's matching cardstock.
I always choose my papers first, you get a better idea on how to colour your image.
I see way too many people colour then try and find paper to match and they can't do it. They then wonder why their card is as good as it could be.
As the image and paper are just so adorable, I wanted to keep the embellishments to a minimum. I used just a small piece of miniature lime green gingham ribbon, and a rhinestone on the flower.
I hope you like her as much as I do. You can find her HERE

Until Next Time
Inking of you All
Michelle

Michelle--I work just like you do! I match my uncolored image up with paper and then color my image to match my paper. Great minds! I only wish my coloring was as good as yours is. Such a cute card.

I agree that when you have a heavily patterned paper you should keep the other embellies to a minimum. This card is great just as it is.
