Oldies but Goodies Thursday
It's 'oldies but goodies' Thursday over on Bugaboo's 'Catch the Bug Challenge'Blog.
Now as for me I'm very new to the Bugaboo range so none of these are oldies to me, I love 'em all so that makes them goodies.
Here is my card for the challenge she is simply 'girl turtle'
I have coloured her with Prismacolor pencils.
Before colouring I chose the Bella Rose designer paper from Stampin Up and it's matching cardstock.
I always choose my papers first, you get a better idea on how to colour your image.
I see way too many people colour then try and find paper to match and they can't do it. They then wonder why their card is as good as it could be.
As the image and paper are just so adorable, I wanted to keep the embellishments to a minimum. I used just a small piece of miniature lime green gingham ribbon, and a rhinestone on the flower.
I hope you like her as much as I do. You can find her HERE

Bugaboo New Release Tuesday.
Time for a new Bugaboo Stamps image release, I have decided to share Red Hat Stella with you all.
She is just fabulous.
I have printed then coloured with Prismacolor Pencils blended with odourless mineral spirits
The card stock is from Copix and core-dinations, the purple is just perfect.
What do you think of the red hat brad. It was just one of those things I saw and thought "I must have that, one day I will need it" I am sure we all have moments like that.
You will find this great image and many more over at Bugaboo Stamps

I combined this week's Mini Release with Stef's Colour Challenge over on Squigglefly SNR card Universe.
Here are the colours
Now for my card
I printed off this gorgeous flower and watercoloured using a combination of watercolour crayons and tombow markers.
I stamped the cream shimmer cardstock with a sentiment from Kazazz in Turquoise ink and cut my ovals with nestabilites. The flower was cut out adhered to the card and highlighted with pink glitter.
To see this fabulous set of images (released this Saturday) go and have a look at Squigglefly's website

Bugaboo Stamps Freebie Friday
It's Freebie Friday time over at Bugaboo Stamps and there are 2 great images up for grabs. I have decided to showcase this great image. It's from the AKV (a Kids View) range.
The image has been coloured using Prismacolor Color pencils on white cardstock, When I colour I really like to have good depth and not be too 'wishy washy'. The designer printed paper is from Basic Grey, It was great to use because of all it's bold colours.
The coloured layers are just some scraps I had on my table (boy do I have a lot of those, I really must clean it up one day)
For the fianl embellishment I added the five orange brads. I'm not sure if I will use the card for a boy or girl so I decided not to go to fussy with embellishments.
Don't forget to go and see what other great creations this new design team has come up with. All members can be found on the right hand side bar.

Say it with .... flowers
First I must apologise to my WONDERFUL DT members at Annabelle Stamps, This week was my turn to host the challenge and due to my circumstances at the moment I couldn't do it. So a BIG thanks for taking up the slack.
I'd also like to say welcome to Sue as she is now one of the DT.
This weeks theme over on the Annabelle Stamps Blog is 'say it with...flowers'. Here is a card I have made previously but since I have so many new followers I thought I would showcase it again. I have used stamps from 'Mum's Flowers'
First the images were stamped and embossed with a beautiful black sparkly powder, this time I opted to colour with the Twinkling H2Os. (I wish you could see the shimmer of these gorgeous paints as they truly are gorgeous). The decorative paper is nice, bright and cheery, It's from Junkitz.
The plain cardstock is from SU.
I wanted the colouring to be the main feature of this card so I kept embellishments to a minimum, just 3 orange brads. This card was very quick and easy to make 20 minutes or less.
