2 cards today

Here are 2 cards for 2 separate High Hopes challenges.
This first card is for this weeks challenge... Buttons Galore.
I have used miniature buttons and also a decorative button. I chose to use Peg Leg Pete, (one of my favourites). I stamped him in Black Stazon and coloured him with Prismacolor pencils.

I chose to layer the card on to basic gray cardstock and used designer paper by Inque Boutique. I also used a steel blue card stock that I found in my scrap pile.
This next card is from a challenge a couple weeks ago, (challenge 21). I was really pleased with how this card came out. The stamp is called Froggy gift, and the designer papers I used were all from Scenic Route.

Once again I coloured in using prismacolor pencils. Both are truly great boy cards.
I just love High Hopes stamps. I am currently working on a wish list list that is enormous. I am having a really hard time deciding what I really need right now and what can wait.

Sweet Sarah Kay

Thought I would make a card using this gorgeous Sarah Kay image from Stampavie. It is called 'Picnic of Daisies'. This is just one of the sweetest cards I have ever made. Firstly I stamped the image on cream confetti cardstock and coloured using prismacolor pencils. The pencils I chose to colour were inspired by the designer paper from Crate Paper. I thought this DP gave the card a very rustic, country feel.
Before layering the card together I ran a piece of river rock cardstock through the cuttlebug using the 'swiss dots' folder. Next I sponged some 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink around the edge of each piece of paper and cardstock.
Lastly I layered it all together with the perfect piece of ribbon from my ribbon stash. The base card is also made using River Rock cardstock.

In Australia,Stampavie stamps are available from Heavenscent Crafts.

I love this Daffodil

I know I only featured this daffodil image 2 posts ago, but look how different it looks this time. This is fast becoming a favourite stamp because it is so versatile.
Twinkling H2O's is what colouring medium I chose this time, It is so bright and cheery. It is a shame the shimmer doesn't show on this photo as it really is quite spectacular. This card was created for this weeks Timeless Tuesday Challenge over on the Flourishes Blog. This week it was a sketch challenge. (mine is turned sideways).
Flourishes is releasing this month's new stamps in less than 24 hours and I can't wait to see what's in store. I just love the images created by Marcella Hawley, she truly is a gifted artist her flower designs are truly spectacular.
I just wish I had a never ending supply of cash to buy them all.
Don't forget there is just one store in Australia stocking Flourishes stamps
Heavenscent Crafts, Just tell Deb that Michelle sent you.

Fun with Flock

I can't believe Fun Flock is back in vogue and big time!! I had flock years ago (I am talking about 8 to 10 years here). I think I must of used it half a dozen times. About 2 years back I gave it all away to a school as I thought it was out of date and style. This week I had to go and buy some more.
Moral of this story: DON'T throw anything away.
Here is a close up photo showing you how great the flock looks on the right image.
The reason I had to go buy more Fun Flock was because of this week's High Hopes Challenge. I knew I had the perfect image on which to use flock.
So here is the card I created.
I am very pleased with how the card came out. The image is stamped in Black Colorbox Ink and embossed with clear powder, I used watercolour paper.
She was then coloured in using watercolour crayons from Lyra.
The patterned grey panel was stamped with Stampin Up's "sanded" background in versamark and embossed with clear powder.
It was all layered together as shown and embellished with hot pink pearls.
