Green, Yellow and Black Colour Challenge

Green, Yellow and Black are the new colours in the Squigglefly Colour Challenge over on SNR Card Universe.
I was very excited to find I won the last one, (my card was the little girl reading the book).
For this card I have used the Daffodil. It is a new release from Lynne Stansbery. I have printed the daffodil onto SU 'Confetti White' cardstock and coloured with Prismacolor pencils.
The flower and the corresponding layers were cut using nestabilities classic oval.
The designer papers are from the same Basic Grey pad I used the other day, it's called 'Origins'. I think it's my new favourite.
The base card is  mid to dark green, the layers are black and green. The swirl has been punched in both these colours and layered to give a shadowed effect.
The sentiment is one I computer generated.
Thanks for looking at my card

A new sketch for Annabelle Stamps

This week for the Annabelle Stamps Bling and Sketch Challenge (keyword ABSC017), I bring you a fabulous sketch from the very talented Teresa Abajo. (I have to say congrats to Teresa as she has just appeared as GUEST ARTIST in the latest issue of TAKE TEN magazine, WOW! This is huge news and such a wonderful moment for her. Good on you Teresa

I had to make my card a square as I really wanted to use ' Helen' from the set ' Helen's Party'
I chose my all paper first and it is from Basic Grey, I coloured Helen's clothes and the flowers to match the colours in the patterned paper.
To the flowers I added 2 paper ones in aqua with aqua brads in the centre. The Sprinkles I chose this time are lemon they look a little orange in the photo but they really are the same colour as the yellow on the patterned paper.
The sentiment is actually from 2 sets, 'wishing you a' comes from the Christmas set called 'Holly Branch' and Happy Birthday is from 'Flowers for You'
This was all layered together on to plain white cardstock
All images and sprinkles used in this card are available from Annabelle Stamps

Over the Hill

I thought I would introduce you to Stella from Bugaboo Digi  images. She's just fabulous. This is the first card I've made and have a couple more different images on the go. I love them, they are just hilarious.

The base card is Kiwi Kiss cardstock from Stampin Up, the brown and yellow are both Bazzill and the designer printed paper is from Basic Grey's 'Origins' 6x6" paper pad. I wasn't sure if the colours in the pad were 'me', but after doing this card I love it. It's good to step out of the box every now and then.
Stella and the sentiment are 2 separate digi images so you can make them what ever size you like. I coloured Stella with my Prismacolor pencils and blended with odourless mineral spirits. The colours I have used co-ordinate with the paper.
The card was embellished with a gorgeous green and brown ribbon, the top right hand corner was punched using a ticket corner punch and a Lemon coloured SPRINKLE (bling) was added

Image and Sentiment available from Bugaboo

Squigglefly Monday Challenge

Time for another Squigglefly Challenge (SFC39), this week make a card with a scene. Enter for your chance to win a digi image of your choice.

I chose 'Marching Snowman' by Cheryl Alger and the 'Happy Winter' sentiment by Nina Brackett. (this comes from a set of 17 images called 'happy everything' . It's just fabulous and all for just US$3.00) about $3.20 aussie dollars at the moment and you get your images emailed to you in less than 5 minutes..
To purchase any of these images go to the  Squigglefly shop.
This was a very easy card to make.
I printed out my image and coloured with Prismacolor Pencils. The base card and pale blue layer are both Bazzill and the printed paper is a really old one from my stash.
I just added some snowflake decorative buttons and the gorgeous star ribbon. And that's it. This card to less than 30 minutes to make and most of that was colouring time.

TWO Challenges in One

My card this today incorporates 2 Challenges. The first one is the SquiggleFly colour challenge and the 2nd is  'All about green'  over on  Sassy Cheryl's Blog Challenge.  This is Cheryl's very first blog Challenge. I would like to wish her all the best.

Now for the colours for the Squigglefly challenge

The image I have chosen is called Ragtime Reader by Artist Cheryl Alger AKA Sassy Cheryl. Her images are just fabulous to colour.

Firstly I printed out the image in the size I wanted. I chose my designer patterned paper (from Stampin Up) and grabbed the card stock that matched. Next I coloured the image with my Prismacolor Pencils in the co-ordinating colours.
The image and the coloured layers were cut out using Nestabilities classic circles.
All layers were then adhered together along with the green lace. (The lace was inspired by my friend Lovely Linda who uses lace alot, I mentioned to her I never did, so Linda here it is. Thanks for the inspiration). Last but not least the finishing embellishments were added. I opted to use the paper flowers in the same kiwi colour and 'Split Pea' coloured rhinestones from Kaisercraft.

Say it with...CAKE

TGGF. Well it is Friday here in Australia.
Welcome to another challenge from the Annabelle Stamps Blog. As of this week we are doing our challenges a little different and what a great theme to get us started.
Each challenge will run for 2 weeks and each one will have a prize given to one lucky challenge participant. So start getting your Annabelle Stamps and start playing along with us. If you don't have any just yet, any stamp within the theme will be fine for now.

Say it with... CAKE

I have chosen to use the gorgeous stamp called Party Cupcake. (It is a single stamp and
at a bargain price)
The cardstock I have used is from Bazzill and the printed designer paper is by Darkroom Door.
I have coloured once again with my Prismacolor Pencils. The final finishes were the SPRINKLES in peach and the white organdy ribbon.
The scalloped square was cut using nestabilities.

Want to see another card with this stamp. Check it out Here . See what a HUGE difference the pastel colours make.
Dont forget to see what our other DT members are doing with their cake images. Links to their blogs are to your right.
